Well, it’s been a few weeks now and if you have not heard the Parfait crew is back in Texas. In the nicest most positive way I can say it: I LOATHE MOVING!!
So why did we move? Over the last few years we’ve realized that Parfait Photo clients are mostly centered in the Southeast Texas area. Ok, really like pretty much ALL of our awesome clients are in Southeast Texas. From time to time we had the privilege of working out of Lake Charles, but seriously, Texas made its point: Come Home! We also have a ONE YEAR OLD (WUT?!) which kind of changes your perspective in an instant on how close you want to live to family. One night driving our usual looong route back to Lake Charles it hit me: Stop fighting it. Move.
So! We’re here and eager to jump in to the adventure of owning a [very] small business with renewed gusto. (that word is cool….’Guuuussto’)
We have a really cool new home with a nice new office space (Photos soon!) and an easy location for all of our clients to meet us.
Here we are lateish at night (oh man…10:00PM is lateish for us now…when did that happen?) brain storming our business model and I kinda realize we’ve been slow to do the little things that make us a vibrant, thriving, visible business. Photography is all about the visual so that can be a problem. I can give you every excuse in the book, but I decided to burn the metaphorical book and, instead, focus on getting us back in gear. What does that mean? Change! Lots of it. You could pretty much make a reality show of the last year and call it “The constant upheaval and shifting sands of the Parfait household -AKA Change” but it would mostly be about a lot of crying and poop…so much poop.
We’re brainstorming folks! We’re making some changes and making things fresh. I don’t know where we’ll end up, but I can say we want to keep making great memories with you, our clients. We get a front row seat of some very genuine moments with cool people and we love people. For now, we say THANK YOU for trusting us to capture those moments. We are happy to be back!
Talk to you all soon!
-Kyle (oh yeah…and Kimberly)
