We have arrived to 2017! A new year and with it we await many new couples, and some fantastic weddings. This is an interesting time for us as well, coming off of this past, wild year. We celebrated the birth of our son, took a big step with us now being a full-time husband/wife photographer duo, and lots of other things that seem to blur together. So what now? The early part of the year is generally a little slow coming off of busy holiday time, but we jumped head first into our first wedding of the year and it was a good one.
As many times as we have worked the venues around Beaumont, we had never shot a wedding at the Jefferson Theatre. So, when Courtney and Brad asked us to celebrate their big day with them at the Jefferson we did a little dance of excitement. (sorta…’dance’ is not really something we’d call a skill set for us)
The Jefferson is pretty cool. Lots of unique décor, a classic feel, majestic, but also functional. We’ve always really enjoyed the event staff for Beaumont venues as well and this was no exception. This was a fun day for us, as it allowed us to shoot with plenty of variety.
Courtney and Brad have been a thing for a long while. The both of them, and their son, were pretty thrilled that this day was finally here. The little guy was actually telling his friends at school all week about the wedding, which is beyond sweet. It was clear that this was something deeply special for them as a family. Their smiles were genuine and contagious. Starting with their first look, through the ceremony into the evening the joy was evident and real.
We are always thankful for our couples who trust us with their wedding. Courtney was a jaw dropping bride, Brad was happily anxious and thrilled beyond belief, and all of their friends and family were close and overjoyed for this long anticipated day. Take a look!
