It has been a while since we made a trip over to Bauer Ranch. I can’t get enough of places that give us plenty of natural light, and when the days are short and cool, everything is just a bit more crisp. Oh, and we don’t have mosquitos around. I’ll take that every single time.
My blog posts have been short lately. I want to say so much about these couples, their story, and really talk through our approach to the wedding days, but Fall is just an absolute mess for us! We’re lucky to keep our work on social media from time to time, but really, we are in survival mode, keeping our deadlines and making contact with clients our priorities. We are amazed, humbled and always thankful for being able to do this. In our work, we are constantly on our toes. There is rarely a moment to catch our breath and sit back when you are self-employed. We have the best job in the world, to work in an area of artistry, while interacting and meeting with some of the coolest people around.
Alex and Eric are two of those people. Nothing, NOTHING makes our job as photojournalists more amazing than people who are real and unafraid to show their emotions on their wedding day. I can have the purest sunset, the perfect angle, with an amazing landscape and it means nothing without people unapologetically present in the moment on their wedding. We were so thrilled to be a part of Alex and Eric’s wedding. We have a few more weddings over the next few weeks. It is our final stretch before (hopefully) taking a week or so to enjoy the Christmas season. See you soon!
