Hey, it’s our first blog of 2019! January usually hits with a sudden change of pace for us. After a marathon Fall, followed by the general business of the holidays, everyone hits ‘reset’ at the start of the year. As I type this I can hardly believe month 1 is coming to a close. We’ve already shot our first wedding of the year, and are gearing up for a heavy load of portrait work. The daily grind is back in full swing and we would not have it any other way!

I have often said the cliché here: “I don’t blog enough.” It’s true, and to our detriment, we do not share a LOT of our work that is full of some amazing people. One of the reasons I love to blog, is the ability to share a complete look at a wedding day. Individual images are pretty for social media, but the real magic comes from seeing each moment unfold.

As our wedding year drew to a close in December we had an incredible day spent with Miranda and Andrew at the Event Center in downtown Beaumont. What is special for us, are the couples we have worked with over a long time for our initial meetings, engagements, and bridals. The comfort level and trust in us as photographers and their families really shows throughout the day, and I truly believe we find more natural moments throughout.

A meaningful, intimate ceremony

Lots of shenanigans (what a great word) from everyone during the dances

A really cool moment celebrating their family heritage with traditional percussion instruments, and dance.

Days like these are why we do what we do. There are a LOT of images I’ve shared, and that is with quite a bit of cutting down. Enjoy!
