We’ve gotten to know Ann and Ben over the last few months and they are two of the coolest people anyone can meet. Not only from the first time we met, but hanging out for their engagement session around downtown Beaumont showed us they are very genuine. You can tell these two really love each other…which is good because they got married. 🙂

We spent the entire day in downtown Groves, which was awesome because all of the venues were in walking distance. Hurray for simple! Navia Thompson of Make up By Navia did a fantastic job on the ladies.

We always work early to get shots of even the smallest details. Believe it or not it is actually a challenging part of photography during the wedding day. Finding the right way to display the jewelry and finding the right light is quite a different skill set from people portraits.

The wedding ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception Church.

Ann and Ben did a traditional send off with birdseed right after the ceremony. They also had a carriage ride reserved to take some time together before heading to the reception! Take note future wedded ones! Couples are often in such a rush to do everything planned for the day, that it is easy to forget to take some time to soak in the moment. Scheduling a little break together after the ceremony is a great thing!

The fun part of the day is obviously the reception, because that’s where the cake is. Denise Talbot of Cakes So Special always makes beautiful cakes that are soooo yummy! Like, for real. Her stuff is wonderful. The Courtyard Café made for an intimate setting and we loved all the catered food too! (yes, yes we ate our dinner BEFORE the cake)

Jonathan Martin always knows how to work a crowd and is by far one of our favorite DJ’s to work with. What a special evening! We could not be more thankful to have the chance to work with Ann and Ben during this time in their lives!
