A majestic ceremony, a rockin’ band, and Popeyes chicken.
Need I say more about John and Sarah’s wedding? I was able to work with Sarah and John in the months leading up to their wedding, which always adds a little pep to my step. Getting to know them over meetings, phone calls, texts, emails, and of course photo shoots I feel less like simple hired help and more someone entrusted with preserving such important memories. I love spending that time with a couple leading up to the moment they become husband and wife. Yes. My job is awesome.
John and Sarah had their ceremony at St. Anthony Basillica in Beaumont (oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh…so COOL) and later had their reception at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. After such an intimate setting we’re heading to an art museum and I’m thinking it’s going to be a quiet refined little reception.
Nope. These two know how to par-TAY. The band “Still Crusin’ tore the house (or…museum) down. John even jumped on the mic at one point. All in all I’d say Ms. Annette (Sarah’s mom) did a pretty spectacular job of planning the whole wedding day. Enjoy!
These ladies loved seeing Sarah in her dress for the first time. This was such a special group of friends. St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica in Beaumont is a gorgeous church. There is so much reverence here and it is a breath taking setting for a wedding ceremony.
Sarah was full of joy walking the aisle with her father. These moments are the best. 🙂 The Cathedral’s architecture creates a stunning perspective for photography. For a wedding there is nothing quite like it.
This is one of our favorite images of St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica. The Holy Water makes a great foreground and the colors are nothing short of majestic.
Sarah and John share a moment together during the ceremony. I alway love when couples genuinely take in the moment. Ceremonies are really the shortest point of a wedding day. You can tell these two let it all soak in.
Not every wedding reception gets to have a live band, but the right group with good chemistry can take a wedding reception to another level. ‘Still Crusin’ is a great group and they helped make the evening really groove.
Yes that is a GoPro camera on John’s head. I wonder what that video is like… It may have gotten just a little bit crazy that evening.
John was feeling the music and decided to take his *ahem*, talents onstage. It was entertaining to say the least!
This was not a shy crowd! I don’t know if there was more than a handful of people not in on the dancing. Umm. Popeyes. Yes. Always, yes.
Congratulations to these two! We are so thankful they asked us to be a part of their day!Second photographer: Emily
