Hey it’s June! Summer vibes are 100% on just like our 100% humidity. Actually, Summer doesn’t officially start until June 21st, but someone forgot to tell the Sun so here we are! Weddings are very much like short sprints for us. We’ll have several weeks in a row where we shoot like crazy followed by several weeks of time slow enough to catch our breath and then BAM the sprint begins again. Here in Southeast Texas, I get the sense brides are trending away from the peak Summer months for weddings in favor of Spring and Fall. Not everyone of course. We’ll still be working with several Summer brides, but our biggest swells in wedding weekends definitely center in the Fall.

We love to feature as much as we can on social media, but sometimes taking a little more time to feature here on the blog tells a more complete story of the day. This is similar to why I love wedding albums (amazing and custom designed by Kimberly – shameless plug) because they give you a look at all of the little things throughout the day. Now we shoot WAY more images than can fit here on the blog or in an album, but it’s fun to narrow down some of our favorites to share with everyone!

The Laurels was done up really beautifully for Kristi and Mason back in May. May is a great wedding month by the way…we celebrated our anniversary back on the 22nd! We have enjoyed our time with these two as far back as their engagement session, and Kristi looking ridiculously stunning for her bridals. What makes a wedding day fun for us are the people who just flow with the day and soak in each moment with genuine joy. We worked around some really fun people as well, which makes the day not seem like work at all. Add in all of the special elements that are super fun for a photographer like the classic car to shuttle the bride and groom around, and we had a really special wedding to fill our day!
