Oh, Texas Hill Country. You are our adopted home, even though we are always so far away. We will take ANY opportunity to visit that we can, so how about a wonderful wedding weekend with some amazing and fun people? Nestled along the Guadalupe River, where you get that rolling landscape, cedar trees, and good barbeque in every other town, we joined Jamie and Logan to celebrate their wedding day.
We really did eat a crazy amount of BBQ on this trip. We had plans to eat more, but it turns out Jamie and Logan even had BBQ catered for the wedding dinner, so we figured it was time to slow down a bit. Yes, it was a rainy weekend. It seems that everywhere these last few weeks have been saturated. This day had its share of rain, but we also were treated to a cool breeze, which we will take any day. We SHOULD see our own October cool front here in Southeast Texas soon, and I will be outside immediately drinking coffee, and stoking a fire. I WANT FALL!!
Our Venue was a small rental suite area with an outside chapel, that we really adored. My favorite moments from the day were Logan bracing himself and then totally losing it for the first look, the sun peeking through gently just in time for the ceremony, and the insanely fun time at the reception. They got in to all KINDS of crazy antics and found their Cajun roots for a while there. Did I mention the BBQ? I feel like I’ve mentioned the BBQ. We ate a lot of BBQ.
As always, it is best to let the images speak for themselves. Enjoy the simple elegance of a day filled with such genuine and fun people. Give me down to earth, real people any day over ‘perfect’ weather, or some over the top location. Happy October everyone!
